Settle the body
You cannot think your way out of a nervous system that has decided there is a threat. Grounding and breath work come first, not because they are profound, but because nothing else lands until they work.
Therapy for the kind of anxiety that does not look like panic. It looks like planning, checking, over-preparing, and never quite putting something down. Virtual throughout New York and Vermont, in person in Patchogue.
Fifteen minutes, free, and nothing to prepare.

The version nobody calls anxiety
Anxiety that stays functional rarely gets named. It gets called being organized, being responsible, or just being like this, and it goes untreated for years because it keeps working.

How the work goes
You cannot think your way out of a nervous system that has decided there is a threat. Grounding and breath work come first, not because they are profound, but because nothing else lands until they work.
Anxiety is usually specific underneath a general feeling of dread. Getting to what you are genuinely afraid will happen makes it something we can look at rather than something that follows you around.
Overthinking feels like problem solving and functions like avoidance. We work on catching the loop in progress, which is a skill, not a personality change.
The goal is not zero anxiety. It is anxiety that no longer decides where you go, what you say yes to, and how much of the evening it takes.
Worth saying plainly
A lot of people delay getting help because they are still doing everything: holding the job, showing up for friends, answering the messages. The bar they are using is collapse, and until they collapse it does not feel like it counts.
Anxiety is worth treating when it is expensive, not only when it is disabling. If a normal week costs you several hours of rehearsing, replaying and bracing, that is a real cost even though nothing visible has gone wrong.
