Does this sound familiar?
You cancel plans because you “feel ugly” that day.
You replay every interaction wondering how you were perceived.
You feel confident until you see a photo of yourself.
You compare yourself constantly and still never feel “good enough.”
You stay in relationships where you feel chosen, but not truly secure.
If body image struggles, appearance anxiety, overthinking, or anxious attachment patterns are keeping you stuck, therapy can help.
Hi, I’m Donnie.
I help Gen Z and Millennial women with body image concerns, food and exercise guilt, and appearance anxiety so they can develop a healthier relationship with themselves beyond beauty standards.
What Sets Me Apart
Body image struggles are rarely just about appearance. My approach goes beyond surface-level coping skills to explore how body image impacts relationships, dating, anxiety, food and exercise guilt, and the belief that your worth depends on how you're perceived.
-
My approach to therapy is collaborative, honest, and grounded in real life. I’m not here to sit silently and nod - I’m here to help you understand yourself on a deeper level, challenge the patterns that are keeping you stuck, and support you in creating change that actually feels sustainable.
-
I also integrate evidence-based interventions throughout our work, including parts work (IFS), cognitive and behavioral strategies, somatic awareness, and nervous system regulation. This allows us to not only understand your patterns, but actually change how you relate to them - mentally, emotionally, and physically.
-
If therapy hasn’t worked for you in the past, it might not be because you’re doing anything wrong - it might be because you were trying to change your thoughts while your body was still stuck in survival mode.
That’s the gap my approach focuses on.
No “just think positive.”
No “just journal about it” when your nervous system is in overdrive.
No pressure to love your body in order to heal your relationship with it.Real healing means looking at the whole picture: your mind, your body, your emotions, and the deeper layers of who you are.
That might look like using grounding and mindfulness techniques, breathing exercises, or tools like EFT (tapping) and visualization to help your nervous system actually feel safe - not just understand that you are.
Together, we’ll start to understand how these pieces connect so you can feel more grounded, more regulated, and more like yourself - not just in theory, but in your day-to-day life.
What We’ll Work On
Anxiety & Overthinking
Learn how to stop overthinking and feel grounded in your mind and body.
Body Image & Self-Worth
Stop tying your worth to your body, appearance, or external validation.
Relationships & Boundaries
Build relationships that feel secure, clear, and authentic.
Identity & Confidence
Reconnect with yourself outside of comparison and perfectionism.
Your self-worth was never supposed to depend on how well you perform being “enough.”
Not enough for beauty standards.
Not enough for relationships.
Not enough for social media.
Not enough for everyone else’s expectations.
Therapy can help you step out of that cycle and reconnect with yourself outside of comparison, shame, and constant self-monitoring.
